Acquisition of LöhrGruppe by Van Mossel Automotive Group Officially completed

The competition authorities have approved the acquisition of the German LöhrGruppe (Löhr & Becker AG) by Van Mossel Automotive Group. With this approval, the transaction has now been officially completed.

Waalwijk, 13 August 2025 – The competition authorities have approved the acquisition of the German LöhrGruppe (Löhr & Becker AG) by Van Mossel Automotive Group. With this approval, the transaction has now been officially completed.

The acquisition includes 35 LöhrGruppe locations across the regions of Rhineland-Palatinate, North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse, representing the brands Volkswagen (including commercial vehicles), Audi, Porsche, Škoda, SEAT and CUPRA. Approximately 1,750 LöhrGruppe employees will join Van Mossel Automotive Group. The current management team will remain responsible for day-to-day operations.

This acquisition further strengthens Van Mossel’s position in the German market and increases the group’s workforce to over 10,000 employees and its annual revenue to €8.5 billion, with operations spanning the Benelux, Denmark, Germany, France and the United Kingdom.
