Acquisition of German Nord-Ostsee Automobile by Van Mossel Automotive Group confirmed

Waalwijk, 21 January 2025 - Competition authorities have approved the acquisition of Germany's Nord-Ostsee Automobile SE & Co KG by Van Mossel Automotive Group. Nord-Ostsee Automobile is a passenger car dealer as well as a van and truck dealer. It also offers the recreational vehicle make Hymer and provides damage repair services.

 The company's 40 branches are spread across 24 cities in the regions of Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Berlin/Brandenburg and Hanover. Nord-Ostsee Automobile is a passenger car dealer for the makes Mercedes-Benz (including AMG), Smart, Hyundai and Aston Martin. As a commercial vehicle dealer, the company represents Mercedes-Benz Vans & Trucks and Iveco. Nord-Ostsee Automobile is also a dealer of the recreational vehicle make Hymer. Van Mossel Automotive Group's portfolio grows to 48 car makes as a result of this acquisition.
With this move, Nord-Ostsee Automobile becomes an important company within Van Mossel Automotive International, the international arm of Van Mossel Automotive Group that includes all activities outside the Benelux.

With the acquisition of Nord-Ostsee Automobile, Van Mossel Automotive International grows into a company with some 3,300 employees and a turnover of €1.8 billion in the countries of Denmark, Germany and the United Kingdom. This acquisition increases the number of employees of Van Mossel Automotive Group as a whole to more than 8,800 and turnover to €7.6 billion.
